Ninja La Silla (Guidam x Lys De Darmen), the little chestnut KWPN-gelding born in 1995, was Rolf's trusted partner since 2006. Between 2006 and 2011 Rolf and Ninja La Silla took part of every championship, and the two were crowned the 2011 European Champion in Madrid. Ninja is bred at Stoeterij van Uitert-Huijsmans in Esbeek, the Netherlands and his mother was named Olympica - and quite rightly so, as Ninja La Silla won the silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong. The La Silla stud in Mexico is where Ninja now spend his well-earned retirement day on the huge fields looking after the youngsters.
